Connect Revolut X to your portfolio
Your Revolut X holdings land in your Celsmar portfolio and update every night. Celsmar only reads them: it never sends orders or moves money.
What you need
To connect Revolut X we ask for these API details. You paste them into your portfolio and we store them encrypted:
- API key
- Ed25519 private key (PEM)
Where to create it at Revolut X
Generate an Ed25519 key pair (openssl genpkey -algorithm ed25519 -out private.pem and openssl pkey -in private.pem -pubout). In Revolut X: Profile → API keys → Add, paste the public key and copy the API key. Here you paste the API key and the contents of private.pem. Crypto only: Revolut app stocks are imported from their statement.
How to connect Revolut X, step by step
- Create the key at Revolut XGenerate an Ed25519 key pair (openssl genpkey -algorithm ed25519 -out private.pem and openssl pkey -in private.pem -pubout). In Revolut X: Profile → API keys → Add, paste the public key and copy the API key. Here you paste the API key and the contents of private.pem. - Paste it into your portfolioIn Celsmar, open Portfolio, click Connect broker and pick the broker. We check the key works by reading your holdings before storing it.
- Review and importYou see every holding with its quantity and average price before importing it. From then on, whatever you buy or sell is recorded every night, and anything you entered by hand is left alone.
What Celsmar reads from Revolut X
The balance of each cryptocurrency. Cash in euros or dollars does not go into the portfolio. If the broker does not give the average price of a holding, we ask you for it before importing instead of making it up.
Security
The key is stored encrypted with AES-256 on servers in the European Union and never goes back to your browser. Disconnect whenever you like and it is deleted.
Frequently asked questions
Can Celsmar trade in my Revolut X account?
Celsmar never sends orders or moves money. Revolut X does not offer read-only keys, so the key you create could also trade: we warn you before storing it and Celsmar only uses it to read your portfolio.
How often does my Revolut X portfolio update?
Every night, automatically, and whenever you press Sync in the portfolio (at most once a minute). Whatever you buy or sell at the broker is recorded on its own.
How much does connecting Revolut X cost?
Connecting brokers is part of the Pro plan, with up to five brokers at a time; on Enterprise, as many as you like. On Free you can see the brokers and how they connect.
What if I would rather not create a key at Revolut X?
You can import a Revolut X statement as CSV or Excel, or a screenshot of your holdings, and review them before they go into the portfolio.
